I have old fashioned closets in my house, those typical ones with sliding, mirrored doors. A dream of redesigning them into more functional places is still a dream. I’m mostly OK with storing my clothes there but not happy with shoes. I keep seasonal shoes in my main closet in their boxes. Taking a needed pair out and putting them back is annoying, I also miss a quick visual. I’m thinking of buying two level shoe racks and putting shoes on them. I will keep the boxes to store shoes of season in a spare closet. I worry about them getting dusty. Storing them in bins with lids is not an option - I love my shoes and don’t want to damage them by throwing in a bin. Will they?
I know some of the forum members have beautiful walk in closets with plenty of shelving available. But those who are not that lucky, how do you keep your shoes?
