You might have heard about the winter storm emergency we had in Texas. It was pretty grim for several days, but we're digging out and carrying on. During the days of no heat and no water, my bee boots (posing in front of my dead plants) really came through for me. I wore them to mush through the snow and ice to get water from my neighbor's faucet, and to trudge up to the corner store to forage for food bits. I didn't slip once, and the bees made me feel hopeful for better weather. Thanks, bee boots, for being my shoe wardrobe's MVP this winter! You definitely were worth the $69 price tag on Amazon. I'm not even sure why I bought you, I guess I just liked the bees!
