Well, I took one final stab at a colorful cardi before my official SYC starts. Deciding that red just isn't going to happen for me after exhaustive searching, I'm going for a second favorite, berry color. And while I was at it, a tulip skirt I'd ordered once and returned. In my experience, sometimes Old Navy items can be irregularly sewn and maybe the next one is just fine. I'm hoping that will be the case with this skirt If not, too bad for me, because my SYC will have started lol!

Rae, I like the idea of posting this thread once a quarter, during the big end-of-season sales. This is really fun! : )

Just catching up on all the threads after chilling for Christmas - whew...my eyes are getting tired! I don't have photos to link but I'm waiting for:

- purple v-neck pull over from Gap
- another pair of Long & Leans (medium wash this time) from Gap
- a purple feather print t-shirt from Gap
- a white and blue long-sleeved striped t-shirt from Gap (will be my first striped item!)
- the blue suede booties from Aerosoles that Angie recommended a while back

Isn't it exciting waiting for our new packages to arrive???

Gulp! I just did a mass pre-SYC binge. That Alexander Wang suede jacket, complete gamble on a pair of Isabel Marant patchwork jeans, Belle by Sigerson Morrison booties, and a pair of super monster black and olive wedges from Burberry. Eek!

Yay, Anna, I can't wait to see that jacket!

I've added a couple more pairs of pants to the que from Esprit. Gray with faux leather trim, and some slouchy pleated ones in brown plaid.

Rae, I think you found yourself the not boring work pants! Praying for you they work out.

Yay, Rae! I've been trying to get you to try those slouchy pleated reincarnated '80s pants for yonks!!! *at last*. I am wearing mine tomorrow.

So whose loot has started to arrive? Mine has!

I've had a shoe moment, and it's all Angie's fault. (Thank you, Angie!)

When Angie wrote about men's style slippers a while back, I was captivated. And I bat for team heels. But something about the style really spoke to me. I ordered a pair of Sam Edelman slip ons in her blog post, and have been wearing them happily.

In the last two days, I have, gulp, ordered 4 more pairs of slip ons! Can't wait for them to arrive.

Also on order are two pairs of Kut from the Kloth skinny cords in ivory and black. Before Christmas I had ordered the dark brown ones and loved them, so I decided to stock up and buy a couple more. Fortunately, they were on even deeper discount after the holidays.

Angie, I've tried some slouchy trousers before, but they didn't even merit posting pics. Either the drape wasn't good, or the fit was off, or *ahem* they turned out to be cropped once I saw them in person. These claim to have a 32" inseam, so I'm hopeful!

As for arrivals, UWP Boots 2.0 are being delivered today!

Kate, those slippers in #4 are awesome - might have to try them if my Matisse booties don't work.

Okay, I have been a bad, bad girl. Just ordered these adorable pony-hair boots from Endless.com: http://www.endless.com/s/ref=t.....geCode%3Dd

oh goodness Rae, and "the crop" on top of it all :(. I am holding thumbs here!

Mary, I like your bad streak.

Love this post, enjoying seeing everyone's choices!

This is my first attempt at posting a photo (but not of me, yet)
I've just hit the "submit order" button at Zappos for:

1. Donald Pliner black boots - love this brand for comfort and quality.
2. Fidji shoes - don't know if these qualify as booties, but Angie suggested them back in the fall. If they are booties, they're my first pair, ever.
3. Josef Seibel black shoes -- wonder if these are considered booties, too. Like this brand a lot for quality and comfort - tried these on in store, and several people commented they were super sharp. Want them in brown too!

My wool coats and faux snakeskin shoes arrived! One coat I didn't like at all, so that's going back. The double-collar coat is really lovely and soft and an even prettier color than it seemed to be in the photos. It's on the large side, though, so I ordered a smaller size.

The snakeskin shoes are fantastic. Very comfortable. In fact, I wore them around the house and forgot about them for awhile. That's a good sign with heels

Loving the color of your trench!

I've been looking for a new trench since fall, have yet to find this color.
Want a off white one. Found a nice one at Banana Republic, on sale, but only comes in black and khaki. Khaki is now a boring color (for me), and black doesn't work either -- too stark. (That's one thing I've recently discovered on YLF, that black is not good against my face. Wish designers would take note, that olive, cranberry, mustard, and navy are great trench colors, too. Maybe I'm just not going to the right stores.

Oh, Amy I cannot wait to see that coat on you!
