The other day I was thinking on my 'shadow styles'. I realized a have a very specific, narrow, boho influence. The maxi skirts, ikat prints, subtle tie dye sometimes. And a phrase came to me - Barely Boho. I also thought on the sporty that I incorporate not even purposely, it's more a byproduct of my active lifestyle really. Slightly Sporty - ding!
So for kicks, I strung together my style descriptors in all their alliterative glory.
Casual Cool, referencing Refined Rocker, shadow style Slightly Sporty and Barely Boho. I could toss in Minimally Military as well for fun. Heck, it's all just for fun, right?
But somehow acknowledging that I do only these very specific boho things, and not any of the embellished gypsy skirt type, makes it 'okay' in my head to let that side in without feeling I'm casting the net too wide on styles. If that makes sense.
