Someone I know was recently talking about some French brand (can't remember the name) and how although he liked the brand and thought they made the best men's jeans, most of the stuff just looked "gay." This was followed promptly by a "no offense to anyone" and a clarification: "It's all just too slim and skinny."
Personally, I love me a skinny guy in slim cut clothes. Not skin tight, but fitted. They can't all be gay, otherwise all the guys I knew in France and saw in London are gay :p I think Euro guys, generally being slimmer and more fashion conscious, are more comfortable in slim fits.
I thought it was kind of a dumb comment but held my tongue, as this person is in a position of authority...
I'm curious now though: Do you think fitted clothes are inherently effeminate or unappealing? Obviously as with women's clothes, a slim fit isn't always the most flattering thing for all blokes, but I think it certainly is for some. It's refreshing to see a guy who actually knows how stuff should fit instead of grabbing anything that says "large" off the table...
