It's not made of real gorilla chest, but it is a nice vest. It was a dollar find that I was never able to style to my liking before. I am still not 100% sure it is me... What do you think? Should I keep it or try to sell? http://m.youtube.com/#/watch?v.....nYbKipNtac

I think you have styled it perfectly! You could be the girl who comes onstage to sing with Adam Levine at the Maroon 5 concert in this outfit.

It looks great with that dress--I like how the dress softens the look. It's a little hard to make out the details on the vest, but I like the collar and the lines of it a lot! I could see it becoming a workhorse year round, with jeans, skinnies, trousers, drapey track pants. But I agree with Caro, how it feels on you should weigh heavily in the decision about keeping it.

Well Denise/Cocolion has completely sold me on this sort of vest so I would look at some of her pictures for inspiration. I like it but am stuck on the is it you question, especially since you are sort of in a state of change right now.

I think the styling is perfect with that dress, Rae. I also like the length of the vest with that dress; much more unexpected than a standard cropped vest.

Ceit, I've added a close up of the vest - it is a ponte knit by Mike & Chris. I think the size is small, so it is supposed to have that oversized look.

LBD, high five! I am so glad someone recognized the reference!

Shevia, yes, Denise is the reason I bought it! It didn't feel right on me with skinnies, though. Maybe because I was trying to dress it up over blouses, when I should stick to casual tees like she does.
