School Days: Tartan & Stripes

Hello,

I wore this look to the office, and dare I say, I turned quite a few heads. I'm not sure that our conservative population knew how to interpret me wearing a tie..LOL! Oh well, they'll live

I fell in love with this look. You know, the outfits that you cannot wait to repeat? Well this is certainly one for me!

I have been exploring out if the box ways to wear my tartan blazer. While my digging through my closet (literally), out sprung this combo. I've had the tie for some time, but never realized that it matched this shirt exactly- a wardrobe senior. Normally I wear the shirt with purples (usually other silks), but I think I like it paired with red more so than purple!

I added a vintage clutch to carry after work.

I'd love to hear your thoughts! Would this look make you do a double take? Have you tried wearing ties?

This is great! The jumble of bright colors and patterns is crazy cool. I've never seen a tie outfit that looked so fun.

I would do a triple take if I saw you in this but honestly, I would gawk at you if you were sporting a hospital gown. You are a stunner.
I have indeed worn a tie, long ago, but only the once because I was timid back then, not fearless like you.

Wow!!! That is a fabulous look indeed. No wonder, you have impressed colleagues! The mis of colors are perfect. However, the very thing that impressed me was a tie!!!! Yves Saint Laurent is always a top-level thing!!!

@Neel Aw, I am sure you can do it! It takes a bit of strategy and planning, I admit. I've worn ties with skirts, and shirt dresses before, but this look is my fav by far. I think bow ties will present a new challenge for me- but I'm up for it!

@donnat - Thanks you! Hubby and I put a lot of effort into them; We use my cell camera mostly and sometimes a simple Nikon camera (when it's dark out)
