Hi all

Today I tried out an idea I’ve been thinking about for a while: wearing a scarf as a skirt. I call it a scart.

I used a long rectangular scarf. I wrap the long edge of the scarf around me and the width of the scarf becomes the length of the skirt. I pin the scarf together with some removable push pins at the hip and let the ends drop for asymmetry. If the scarf is particularly long, you can kind of double it over on itself to create a nice flourish where the ends meet.

I wore another skirt underneath the scarf as the scarf tends to open when I stride (like a wrap skirt).

I tried it today with a teal scarf.

I enjoyed it so much that I tried out a red scarf version (with different underskirt) when I got home.

My scarves are knitted and fairly substantial in weight. Both are thrifted.
