I have decided to come along to the party even though I am still in a strict lockdown. I have chosen to wear a dress that I wore to one of my last occasions to really dress up when I went to my niece's wedding in Queensland end of 2019. I had taken clothes to wear but ended up borrowing this from my sister. It is a pleated dress from an Australian designer which one of my nieces thrifted for their mother. I am wearing silver sandals and a necklace from my sister too. I was pretty disorganised as I didn't think I would be able to get to the wedding. That week I had had several medical appointments because of some worrying blood tests. I found out I had gall stones and would have to have surgery so I hadn't really been able to spend too much time thinking about the dress. I was about 18 kilos heavier then but think the dress would still fit me as it adjusts to your curves. I love the colour and how it can easily pack without being crushed. My sister is culling her wardrobe now and I said don't throw out the green dress, I would love it. So when I receive it from Australia, I'll do another wiw.

Yesterday was my 50th birthday. I had virtual drinks with friends on zoom and my son organised a cake to be delivered. I have some snacks from my virtual drinks that I could share. They are lime and chilli chips, olives, sundried tomatoes, a New Zealand brie, edamame beans and cheese flavoured coconut chips. I had it with a rabbit ranch pinot noir from South Otago. The cake is white chocolate and raspberry cheesecake. Enjoy.
