I apologize for taking so long but I had to come a long way. You may recognize this outfit as being from the late 1980s.

One of the biggest dress up events of my life! The opening gala for the new Fairmont Hotel.

We went to NM and DH found this dress. It was a sample--I thought too flashy for me until I tried it--perfect fit. it was the most expensive dress I'd ever owned. Worn with a rhinestone necklace and earrings from Nordstrom. At the event the local fashion/society editor interviewed us and published our comment in her article. This event was the first in a series of annual Silicon Valley Ball fundraisers.

I wore the dress 6 times over the next 2-3 years, reducing the price per wear to a somewhat reasonable amount.

I had another outfit by this designer Judy Hornby, whose vintage dresses are still for sale on Etsy.

Bring out the champagne!
