At a couple months shy of 15 years old, we have lost my much beloved Sheltie named Shadow. Shadow joined our lives during a horrible year full of back to back losses of family members, plus our greatly loved dog Abbey. She pulled us together and brought so much joy into our lives. She was the gentlest dog I have ever met, and losing her feels like saying goodbye to a sister.
I'm still trying to compose myself and will try to do a proper tribute later. In the meantime, a few pics of my beautiful furry friend.
Somewhere over the bridge, Shadow and Abbey must be romping together in circles, herding dog style. They never met in real life and I like to think they are waiting for us to come play someday.
I love you, Wodash. Hope there are tons of bubbles and hoses for you to chase now that you have your young legs back. I'll see you again.
