After dressing in gear for the last two days (both fun days of outings with my sister for the first time we have been able to spend time together in three years!), today I have a bunch of errands to run.

It’s a bit warm here but I’m done with sandals for the year. I’ve decided to try to revive my old cowboy boot collection this fall and winter, so put together a very casual outfit today with a couple of long-neglected pieces: this black Athleta skirt and these old grey square-toe cowboy boots. I got them secondhand years ago so I’m not even sure what brand they are or how old they are. They have a rugged patina I like. I decided to pair them with a skirt and a graphic band tee, knotted at the waist. To tie in with the grey boots, I dusted off a big fabric crossbody bag I bought from an artisan in Zambia. I don’t use it a lot, but I think it bookends the boots well, so maybe I’ll use it more if I wear these boots more often.

To punch things up a little I added my Kate Hewko silver ring and Jenny Bird silver earrings, for a bit of graphic bling.

If I decide I need a jacket, I’ll take along a short denim one.

Ugh, that mirror needs cleaning, LOL!
