And no contenders yet - the feet are very fussy, and these MUST be very comfy (like walk around Europe "comfy", and shop all day with a client "comfy"). No compromises, and no sneakers or boots.

Soooooo many almost there candidates. Here's the run down:

• #1 Intentionally Black - GORGEOUS on the foot. Perfect tomato red (more orange in person). I need a 36.5 and they don't do half sizes. Tried insoles - no luck.

• #2 Franco Sarto Perforated loafer: Runs very big. Feet falling out of the size 6 (I'm a 6.5 usually). Tried insoles - no luck.

• #3 Nine West Ankle Strap: Runs small. Sized up half a size, which made the foot fit well, but then the ankle strap was too wide.

• #4 Boden Ankle Strap: FLEW off the shelves. On back order. Will have it in April, which is fine.

• #5 SW flat: Too wide - ODD, since SW usually runs quite narrow. Also, would prefer something less pricey.
