Today is the lunar new year. Chúc mưng năm mới! Of course I wanted to wear red. But. I don't actually have any red in my wardrobe! My maroon pants were up at the little house on the prairie. The closest I could come was a raspberry colored cami, so I went with that.
1) I would have liked to wear this pinkish blossom print kimono-ish top, but it was too cold. I loved the way this looked with my cowboy boots and jeans - a perfect blend of east meets wild wild west. Can't wait to wear when it warms up about 40 degrees.
2) This light grey 3/4 sleeve cardi is what I actually wore, along with an Asian pendant on garnet beads and big diamond shaped hoop earrings.
3) Outwear was the fuchsia tweed jacket with purple silk scarf. I originally tied the scarf in a big bow as a kind of a jokey shout-out to E, but I ended up actually liking it and wearing it that way!
In all the photos I'm wearing a new lipstick - Cherries in the Snow (Revlon). I can't decide if I love it or if it's godawful bright and what the heck am I thinking?! Opinions requested!
