Recreating a holiday look

So for an up coming holiday cocktail party I want to bust out my sequin mini, seen here

Only problem is the foot wear. My multiple buckle boots have silver bucks and are mid calf. I could do my black suede fringed ankle boots, black lace up ankle boots or my black leather Isabel Marant Dickers (but they have a tan heel).
I have a pair of super monster wedges with gold buckles. But I don't think I'd last the party with them.

What do you think?

Tan heels and gold chains would look good, I think. Whatever you do, don't wear the uncomfortable ones.

Would the lace up boots work if you don't lace them up all the way and let them flap around a bit? I really like how Blair's boots are loose around the ankle.

What color(s) & metal tone(s) are in your snakeskin skirt? (It looks wonderful but I can't quite make out the details.) I'm wondering if your boots with the silver buckles might work if you added some silver chains to the mix? Or do you have your heart set on wearing all gold? (All the bold gold does look great, & I can't tell if adding silver would spoil it or not, or if it would work with your skirt. Anyway, just thought I'd mention it as a possible way to coordinate with the silver buckles should you decide to wear those boots.) Any of the combinations you're thinking about sound great!
