Ready for fall clothing posts.

Anyone else out there chomping at the bit??. I was evaluating my closet this morning an I desperately need tops. This is a continual issue for me. Bottoms, footwear, and toppers - I gravitate to. I do not want to purchase anything until Angie does her fall posts. NAS did nothing for me in the top area.

it's rainy today and a break from the 90+ weather. i'm shopping for fall. especially tops. nas was slim on tops for me, too.

It's been such a chilly summer here that I haven't worn my usual summer things at all yet, though it usually warms up in September. So I'm torn - I always look forward to fall shopping the most, since it's my year-round style. But I'm also strangely eager for a chance to wear a tank top and I keep browsing summery light colors (bizarre for me).

Regardless, I'm looking forward to all the fall shopping posts!

I am definitively ready for fall from a clothing perspective. It is my favorite season to dress for. I have a very defined aesthetic for fall/winter clothing. Spring and summer not so much.

Deb, it was 101 this afternoon, and smoky. While I love fall clothes, I only want to wear shorts and sleeveless tops.

I’m so ready. I just took a walk after the sun went down, and it was still 85 degrees and I came home drenched in sweat. Jumped in the pool to cool down.

Fortunately we leave for London next week, so I’m hoping for cooler weather there! I’m starting to pack for the trip, and it won’t be cool enough in the UK for real fall clothes, but I am definitely ready for fall temps and dressing!

I too love cool weather clothing the best, and I bought a gorgeous orange wool coat in the spring that I had no chance to wear. But, the thought of walking home from work in chill darkness doesn't thrill me. I love the long days of summer, sitting on my balcony reading until 8:30, then watching the sun set. In shorts.

I love Fall. I love everything about it. I am so ready for Fall clothing. I do love the long daylight hours of summer and I will miss that but I am ready for cooler weather.
I bought a pair of jeans in the early part of summer (beginning of June maybe) after looking for months that I wore once. I am more than ready to wear them again.

I really do not like the very hot and humid weather we've had in Maine this summer. It feels like Florida! Bring on the chill!!!!! I'm more ready than ever for fall fashion. (My husband, who is a school teacher, really hates how in August I start talking about the fall. I think it shortens his summer break.)

I do need to do a thorough review & ruthless cull of sweaters, but it’s just too hot to make good decisions about them! So a bit of transitional weather where I’m still wearing “ seasonless” items would be fine. I actually have reviewed most of my pants so I can focus on what works with the keepers.

I love fall and fall clothes (favorite season), but I am actually appreciating this gap in shopping and simply being content about how my summer wardrobe is working. I am sure I’ll get more excited about fall wardrobes after Labor Day.

Heat, humidity, sweat, high electric bills from running AC, mosquitos, snakes (we've killed two copperheads at home this summer, one in the garage!)... things I won't miss about summer.

I will miss our swimming pool when we close it for the season, and I'll miss long hours of daylight.

Ive picked up a few things for fall, but i enjoy summer too much! Its actually been pretty mild, low 90s and 60ish% humidity, compared to normal (though people still complain).
I am happy about the return of fall colors though:) but i prefer to wear them in skirts and sleeveless tops instead of pants and long sleeves.

Well, Angie posted that we will have to wait until early September for her trend reports! I'm not seeing F/W in B+M stores, but the summer clearance sales are on. The forecast is for hot and humid - 'feels like' 30degC+ (see below) and the extended forecast is more of the same? I will be continuing with shorts and white jeans outfits.

I just came in from an hour of weeding in the yard, since it’s *only* 85 with a heat index making it feel 91. Bring on the sweaters and boots!

I'm ready for the fall posts, but the weather is just not cooperating! I'm really well set in terms of my closet, except I'm in search of new shoes. My feet have been bothering me for some reason (and I haven't worn bad shoes or heels since I was in my early twenties). Not sure what is going on but I'm shopping for really supportive sneaks and booties these days in prep for cooler temps. In summer heat I've been relying on Teva sandals, my navy Ryka sneakers and occasionally my Sofft gold blush slip ons.

I'm not complaining if summer wants to continue on for a while longer. I'm still enjoying wearing my lightweight dresses, which will be much more difficult come fall. But I'm with you in needing some good fall tops...tops are my hardest category. And coats!

I’m ready. I have loved every minute of summer, but school begins soon and as my thoughts turn towards the classroom, they also turn toward autumn and my work wardrobe.
