I'm terribly frustrated at pants-shopping at the moment. Recently, I resigned myself to wearing only slimmer-fitting dresses and slim jeans/pants because somehow, they seems to make my squishy bulk torso look a lot less bulky and put emphasis on my long shapely legs. As of today, I'm still on a lookout for a serviceable pair of skinnies. 95% of brands I try give me the Muffin Top from Hell. My Karen Kane jeggings only give me a very mild muffin top (which is why I say they are "perfect" ). So all in all, my fashion goal has always been to diminish the muffin top that separates create.

When I shop for pants, I get one of two problems:
- The waist is too small but the bum/legs fit very well. There's massive gut spillage on the waist and it looks very unsightly
- The waist fits just right but everything else (the bum and knees) sag. By the end of the day, I just look really really sad and saggy.

I'm really really frustrated Sometimes I blame myself for not sticking to a diet of some kind and trying to slim down - but I realized that even when I was a slim teenager I still had a bit of squish on my belly - I've always had the muffin top.

Any Apple types or squishy rectangles have any suggestions on how I can deal with this muffin top problem? If you are thick-waisted with slim/shapely legs - what pants/jeans brands do you recommend?
