I went through a snake period a couple of years ago and bought pants, shoes, tops, and dresses. I was trying to see if this jersey snake print dress was a keeper. It's super comfortable and layers well, but without some kind of topper, it makes me look like a rectangle. I started with gray suede tall boots, and decided that the grays weren't that close. The boots are warm gray and the dress is a cool gray. (Grays are hard.) Also, I could barely zip them up, the zipper was so stiff. Does soap on a zipper really work?

So I switched to black combat boots, which blend in with the leggings just fine. I like the pink jacket, but wanted to try something else. The next step was the green utility vest, and I like the lines of it, but I think there isn't enough contrast with the dress. This might be the rainy day speaking. You might note the 3/4 sleeves on the dress, argh.

My last resort was a mustard yellow sweater wrap thing. Very cozy and forgiving.

#5 is a bonus pic of a black and brown combo. Boden velvet blazer, faux leather pants, brown suede booties.
