Dear YLF,
I had my last radiation treatment earlier today! I can not describe how relieved I am that it is finished. It was a long and difficult day. The pain from the neck burn was pretty bad, and I have spent quite some time crying from it. But it is done, no more cream scraping, now I can keep it on all the time.

As I have mentioned, I was told that it will get worse before it gets better, for about couple of weeks. So I will probably have to stay home for 2 months, hopefully not more. I was also told that, in general, in 3 months one can get back to about 60% of normal. However, that is a new normal, not the same as old normal. There will be some permanent changes for worse. Some people always have less energy etc. Taste will take quite a few months to come back. Hair will start regrowing in 5 months. And so on.

I am completely exhausted now, bot physically and emotionally, and off to bed. I promise to write more tomorrow, and more coherently as well. And I apologize for not replying to my other thread yet (will do that tomorrow ), and I still owe you the challenge photos and am terribly sorry I haven't done that yet.

What would like to do is offer a huge thank you to the whole YLF community for your support through these horrible times for me. I can not find proper words to express my gratitude, but you have made this so much more bearable, through your warm words and other acts of kindness. Thank you!!! My battle with this monster continues... Hopefully it never rears its ugly head again.
