DH has been to Bermuda 2-3x on business, but I hadn't been there. He pointed out we haven't had a vacation with just the 2 of us for around 4 years--always with family--so we decided to go for it.

Weather was nice--77° high every day, only one day with some serious rain. We stayed at the Hamilton Princess.

I had looked for a leopard print jacket weeks earlier, but the only one I liked was sold out in my size. Then I found this Tommy Bahama linen jacket with fun contrasting sleeves and collar lining, so it went on it's maiden voyage. Wore my Clarks and the new Ecco sneakers. Did well with lots of walking. Wore my Kut plaid Diana's for the plane--2 long travel days and they were comfortable.

I took too many clothes. Made myself wear a pair of shoes and my only dress for dinner the last night. Yet I forgot to take my windbreaker/rain jacket.

On my first ferry trip I saw my first Bermuda clad businessman. Didn't think to take a photo of him. He looked like he'd stepped out of GQ or WSJ fashion page. Warm pink Bermuda shorts, navy knee socks, light blue shirt and dark blue tie. Immaculately groomed--perfect gray hair and beard.

We walked around downtown Hamilton a lot--DH was a partner in a Big 4 CPA firm before retiring (the first time. Still not retired.) He wanted to see what the firms and businesses were doing. Lots of changes since he was last there in 2000. The business women in there usually had on a black or navy sheath or slight A-line dress, no hose, and either heeled sandals or pumps. I did see a few in other colors, and few patterns.

As we walked around that first day I realized one big difference from home: no graffiti! Quite a change from California. Also, no trash tossed on the ground, very clean, "Pristine," as one taxi driver told us.The people are so genuine and friendly.

A smattering of photos--didn't take one of every outfit combination.

## 1-2 In front of hotel and sightseeing

#3 Every day we saved the flower from our breakfast to go with our room's art work.

## 4-5 Sightseeing

#6 Decadence on our balcony. Well, it was my birthday! This was also the day it rained, as if you couldn't tell.

#7 Halloween cake

#8 The Deliverance, shipwrecked on Bermuda in 1609 on its way to Jamestown. This is the actual, restored ship at St. George's. One of DH's ancestor's was on the ship, so he was interested in looking it over. Believed to be the inspiration for Shakespeare's The Tempest.

9-11 more scenic spots and Bermuda's businessmen.
