Just typed this and then lost it all!

Anyway, I have just returned home from my weekend with my brothers to attend the concert and I had to quickly pop in and say an enormous THANK YOU to you all for encouraging me to wear the chiffon tunic/skinnies/boots ensemble!

Yes I was one of the dressier ones, but heck, I felt fab, was comfy all night long and got *lots* of admiring looks LOL

Sadly I forgot all about a pic on the night but you can just picture the one from the other thread with my hair and make up done LOL.

Oh and my *crush* and I spent a considerable amount of time together and he admitted that he is very attracted to me (and made some other comments that make blush thinking about them, so in no way can I type them LOL)... BUT he wont do anything to jeopardise his friendship with my brothers - and there is no way I would want to come between them anyway - they all have great respect for each other and a really great friendship. So mixed feelings about that, but I suspect that if we keep hanging out whenever we do get the chances to we will soon work out if its worth pursuing or not... and to be honest, my brothers have told me they don't care who I date as long as he's a decent guy and not an idiot... so I think they will be fine... We actually had a really good time talking and all its done is made my crush even stronger! He really is a great guy...

OK sorry to bore you all with that! I haven't done this in over 13yrs so am scared but excited about the whole new "dating" world that is out there...

And now I need to go have a little nap - I didn't get a whole lot of sleep last night, and am very tired today! I still have 24hours before the girls come home from their weekend with their dad, so I will be back to catch up on everything else soon.

Glad you had a fabulous night - both in terms of appearance AND company!

The biggest issue would probably be that if you got together, he is obviously smart enough to realise that it would only be acceptable to your brother(s) on the condition the relationship would most likely develop into a serious and long-term union, rather than be a casual relationship (aka "fling"). I'd be blunt enough to say that this would be because he damn well knows that your brother would KICK HIS BUTT if he used you or hurt you!

This, to me, is a good thing because if you guys DO get together, well, you've probably already by-passed a lot of the whole "does he really like me or not?" type stuff of early relationships.

Now I am going to be blunt here for a moment, because this is what I would say to my friend and I hope you take it that way....

He sounds really lovely! Have a crush on him as much as you like but please DO NOT waste your energy waiting for him to get his act together. Try and keep your eyes open for "other opportunities" that may well come along - if he takes too long to make a decision - welllllll...... his loss!

I think Katiepea may be right, you need to spend time with your crush to see if anything develops yet you need to be open to new opportunities at the same time. At the very least it sounds as though you will become stronger friends.

Well its amazing what a nice solid 2 hour nap can do for a gal!! Feel much more alive now - I sure was tuckered out! (Julie naps are something I'm only just rediscovering!!)

And KP, you are so right! He may be *ahem* 4yrs younger than me, but he is quite mature and would definitely know that hurting me would not be cool...

I did meet several other eligible bachelors last night that seemed nice so I am keeping my eyes open... I guess my biggest issue is that I don't know these other people and whilst they are all great to talk to at a pub/rugby match etc, none of them are asking me out on dates either LOL And I am NOT one of those girls who'll go home with someone she's just met!

I think this year could be a good year for me though - I'm now starting to at least look good when I go out (thanks again YLF!!), and surely meeting lots of new people is a good thing!

You guys may get sick of my rambling about my crush and dating etc though!!

Oh, Theresa! He sounds like such a lovely gentleman- Age doesn't matter at all, full stop! If guys are allowed date women younger than them so are we women. If he makes you happy and you are attracted to him, go for it. I also think it's great that you are just going out there and meeting new people.

How cute! I'm relieved to hear you say you have a crush. I thought I was too old for that word but apparently I have plenty of time to continue using it :p

4 years is nothing. If you were a guy and he was a girl, no one would make anything of it, so why does it matter if genders are reversed? I had one boyfriend who was 3 years younger than me (and since we were only 18 and 21, 3 years is a much greater proportion of our lives!), and also one who was 6 years older than me. Also, I had a crush on a 38 year old man when I was 23, and it was actually reciprocated! But he was too freaked out by the idea and started avoiding me, which was probably for the best. I know, I know, I'm such a bad girl.

The point is: age doesn't matter. At all. Unless you're a gold digger.

Angie I think you might be right about the hormones thing too - not only am I feeling very happy and relaxed etc, my skin is looking much clearer today and apparently my skin issues are primarily hormonal!

I totally agree that age means nothing - sure when you are 15 it might but at my age - meh! I just have no desire to be with someone not very mature - anyone who takes me on has a whole lot of *stuff* to deal with and he has to be able to cope LOL (I like to say I'm a whole lot of woman LOL) SO maturity is more important than their age...

Maya I have no idea what other word to use than crush and I feel ridiculous saying it!! I can't see me ever saying I have a *boyfriend* again either... If you have any better suggestions please let me know!!!

Jenny I may need some of your tips - I'm kind of clueless on this whole thing LOL And I sure don't have your boobs to help me out!!

And I shall keep you posted on my dating adventures - maybe I should start keeping notes and write a book one day - it could be humorous as I have no clue...
