Quick duplication question

I am LOVING my new burgundy skinnies - first day of wearing them and I can't believe how comfortable they are (both physically and emotionally, if that makes any sense) and they have not bagged out AT ALL. I can see me wearing these a TON.

I'm seriously thinking of duplicating them in black as a versatile bottom for me for both work and casual. Not that price matters, but they are on sale for $29 until Thursday.

As background info, for black bottoms I currently have my wide legged Editors (which I've commented I'm not sure I'm feeling these days), a pair of simple Jay Manuel straight leg/baby bootcut trousers and a pair of ponte knit legging type pants for boot tucking with long sweaters/tunics.

What do you think? Useful purchase or unnecessary duplication?

I *LOVE* black pants in the winter. And these tuck into boots. I think useful duplication.

I think there is a reason most items come in Black AND some other color. You can never go wrong with black bottoms IMO and if you've already road-tested this fit and the cost is not dear I cannot imagine what is keeping you from running right out for these NOW!

As long as you have cash in the budget then it is useful. If not, repeat to yourself....there will always be another sale.

A skinny in different colors is almost not duplicating IMO. And, yes, do it!

I'm another yay vote. The only item you own that sounds similar are the ponte pants since you could tuck both into boots, but sometimes you want the option of denim instead of a knit. It changes the flavor of an outfit.

I agree - sounds like these would be a terrific duplication. (I love skinnies too, and have been wishing for a burgundy pair forever. But not found them yet...)

I vote to duplicate. I'm not seeing a downside to having a versatile pair of pants in a style that you love. If the only other color were a very unusual color that went with nothing, I would be leery. But black, so neutral and so versatile.

I would say get them. You know they are a good cut for you and I would be surprised if they didn't become a work horse.

Late to the party, but BUY! Pants you love for that price...not really a gamble.

Shannon, you can always buy them and then return them in a couple of weeks if you haven't worn them and change your mind. When I'm not sure about a situation like this, I usually buy but don't wear until I'm sure. That gives me the opportunity to get the sale price, but I can still return it if I change my mind.

I bought navy and the bright green and have to say that those pants have both been worn a lot lately. I consider burgundy to be a neutral so you could go with black or even get a brighter color for with neutral tops. I definitely think they are worthy of duplicating as they do look great on you.
