I know it’s summer for most of you but I thought there might be some interest in this velvet blazer (since a lot of you seem to be shopping for Autumn/Winter already @NAS).
It’s from YOOX. I got it in teal. A teal velvet blazer has been a HEWI for me for a long time. It’s absolutely gorgeous. More green than blue, but definitely teal. And a nice deep teal.
Unlined, no shoulder pads, fairly lightweight and semi fitted, so it’s suited for indoor wear and could be layered under a coat for outdoor wear. I think it runs a little small around the shoulders/upper arms. It’s fine for wearing a blouse or lightweight knit underneath but I could not wear a thicker jumper underneath. Size up for a more relaxed fit. Hip length. 80% cotton, 20% poly. Feels a bit stretchy. I would prefer the sleeves to be a little longer, but I can live with it (I do have long arms). Love it!

Currently at $300 USD on YOOX Australia (that price inclusive of Australian sales taxes and delivery). But I got it for 20% off that price through one of their promotions.
If you like velvet (or teal) as much as I do, it’s worth considering. Also comes in turquoise, black and some other colours. Limited sizes.
