PSA: JCrew 30% off sale prices; tipped peacoat!

J Crew is having an extra 30% off sale prices with code MUSTHAVE, till Sunday.

After copying Jessica's outfit, I fell in love with her J Crew white and black tipped peacoat and found out it's on sale! So I had to order it. The cream contrast trench I have is thinner and permanently wrinkly (it's supposed to be like that). I think I'll wear this one much more. The only caveat is this one says final sale. I'm ordering the same size as I have in another J Crew wool coat and I chatted with a rep who said I could return it (I saved the chat as a PDF just in case).

Zap, I know! Final sale makes me nervous.

I ordered a size 4 which is the same size that I have in the J Crew Plaza wool coat. I thought it was the lady day coat but I was mistaken, it's the Plaza...here is the K/R for that coat:

Size 4 is my usual pre-pregnancy size for coats/tops as well. I can't button the Plaza coat anymore over my belly, so I'm expecting the peacoat to not close either, but JQ wore it open and it looks good that way too. And hopefully I'll be able to button it after the baby weight comes off.

I did a live chat with a rep and she said I could return the coat, so I'm crossing my fingers that if it really doesn't fit for some reason I can still return it. I copied the chat as a PDF for proof, what do you think:

What size are you going to get? I think we are (or at least, were) pretty much the same size, right? 4 on top, 6 on bottom?

Used to... I gained some weight . I am going with 6. I can still do 4 but I want a bit of room for layering.
I am doing 6 on tops 8 on bottoms for most purchases but I can still fit on most of my old stuff. Eeee, what can we do!

and get this, is only 4 pounds... only FOUR pounds. That's why your baby bump mystifies me.... I eat an extra scoop or rice and I'm in trouble lol

Oh, I know Zap! I sympathize. I've already gained about 25 lb so far and still have another 15 weeks to go so I may be gaining at least 40 lb by the end of this. But I already started growing out of pants at just 4-5 lb up. I've been buying size 8 skirts lately to accommodate the bump and just hike hike hike them up.

Let me know how the size 6 fits! I still went with 4 because I don't have a lot up top. But I didn't think about nursing boobs, hmmm....I hope the 4 isn't too tight!

No, you should be good with 4. I still have to IM them over the final sale issue.

I have been stalking that coat myself. Is it itchy?

I just tried the coat on in the store. It is not itchy at all. Fully lined, and the wool is soft and fuzzy.
