It is very pretty, and a lovely dress. You do not look fat. Light shape wear can provide a smoothing but I am not sure that you need it. However as rachlou said a great strapless bra will help, and heels which I suspect you are not wearing.
I think that is a fresh flattering colour as well - enjoy your night:)
I agree with the others. Have you had a professional bra fitting? You could bring your dress and see the differences between different bras. It's a good investment and you would probably get a lot of wear of it in summer with thin strap dresses or stapless tops. Angie writes about bra fitting here: http://youlookfab.com/2006/05/.....r-beneath/
You look beautiful! I see no need for shapewear, the dress is very flattering. Add a pair of heels and the right bra, and everything will feel right, too!
You look gorgeous, and that is a great dress! I agree that no shapewear is required. Invest in a great strapless bra and some double stick tape to keep everything where it is supposed to be when you're dancing.
Strapless bra, yes. Shapewear, no. Shapewear is to smooth out lumps and bumps under clingy material and the flowing dress doesn't show any lumps and bumps.
Not to mention you would be miserable all night and unable to dance and have fun.
And on top of all that you are not fat, you are a beautiful normal girl.
You're not fat. But I think the right bra would help make you feel better. Do you have a Nordstrom's or a specialty lingerie store near you (not Victoria's Secret)? I'd go there and have a professional fitting done.
