Sally, thanks! You are right. I use thin pieces to layer up. It also makes it easy to de-layer if I overheat (which is frequent). I have a thin black wool cardigan that I often wear under the ivory jacket. It's the same shape so it looks quite nice peaking out from underneath it and it adds some warmth when I need it.
Thanks Jussie and Becky!
Thanks for the enthusiasm Sterling!
Gryffin, you are so kind, as usual. I love how you eat up every detail. I am pretty detail oriented myself!
Thanks Tex, Amy Isabella, cousin MJ, Lisa, Bonnie, Christina, Robin and Sara.
Suz and Roxanna thanks! This project has really helped me ward off the winter wardrobe doldrums and boredom buying. I feel like I have a plan.
Suz, I did end up duplicating the lace up boots in burgundy (they are less than half price now). It just seemed like a no brainer since I am wearing the black pair every second day and burgundy is my colour. Hey, maybe you will see them at "your" Wittner store in Autumn!
Diana, thanks! Yay for 90s looks. I think dark romance was a bit of a thing then too. I seem to remember having multiple brocade waistcoats and some chokers. I wish I still had the waistcoats. I think the handbag strap is a great little bag refresher.
Thanks Krish, chouette22, JAileen, efbgen, Elizabeth and Toban.
Thanks Lyn! You hit the nail on the head. I am aiming for an approachable version of dark romance. Not too costumey. Not too gothic (although I do like gothic!).
