I'm on Comcast and the site is loading verrrry slowly. I just restarted my computer thinking it was me, and then saw this post.

I'm on AT&T Uverse and it's loading very slowly for me right now.

No problems here on a computer via wireless -- Bell is our provider.

Terminal page data was very irregular, with "timeout" entries appearing sometimes back to back, sometimes with as many as eight "byte" entries in between. Loading of the site is still alternating between "not too bad" and "forget it". I am not having a problem with any other sites.

Thanks for the additional reports.

There is a problem somewhere on the "route" on the network between comcast and our server (each little "packet" of info from YLF jumps between about 20 servers on the Internet before it arrives in your browser). It is not actually a problem on our server itself, which is why many people are seeing normal performance.

There are probably many servers on the Internet affected, but the likelihood that you use more than one of them is very low. Hence YLF being the only one you see affected.

The people that host our servers are working on routing around the problem, and they tell me it will take them a few more hours.

No problem here. On verizon fios.

Aargh! Comcast gives me fits!

I can't print out the report for you, Greg. I may be doing something wrong, but the window says:
-- bash command not found
when I type in pingyoulookfab.com

I've been having serious difficulties with the site for the last several days -- far slower than other sites, and sometimes it simply won't load. Now, our Comcast connection (the fastest they offer) has been slower than usual in general. I attributed this to Superbowl + Blizzard. YLF is almost unworkable for me at the moment.

I'm on a mac with qwest DSL (and wireless in the house).
I've got 1 request time out every 1 to 5, followed by less frequent ones--around 1 in 10 to around 1 in 15.
Still having trouble with very slow page loading this evening. Thanks for all your efforts on the issue, Greg!

P.S. not as bad this evening as it was earlier in the day. Earlier, some pages just didn't load completely.

I'm like Firecracker - century link wireless to the house and on a Mac. YLF has been very slow for the past two days or so.

A little faster now, Greg. Thanks for all your work!

On Verizon fios, or ATT LTE, the last few days YLF is sporadically slow. Seems ok at the moment though (wed 9:45pm pacific time).. Ipad/iphone.

Things are looking good right now. I'm hoping this means that the folks at our hosting company were successful, but it might also just be that low nighttime traffic is giving the network some relief. Hopefully tomorrow morning the performance is still good. Either way, I'll be talking to the network engineers and I'll find out what happened.

I'm really impressed by whoever repaired this so quickly because it was awful and now it seems completely fine..

20 minutes later

..until I tried to post my comment. It took 20 minutes to get back on to where I could post that there was a problem posting. It's definitely better, but still inconsistent.

Sadly, we're not out of the woods yet. This morning performance started degrading as people started waking up in the US.

Yes, lots of problems here again this morning. Pinging results in a time out every 10th or so try.
We're on Comcast.

Bugrit. I love YLF and suck at the whole type on the phone thing.

AT&T Uverse here...slow loading yesterday and today and the pictures are working differently too. Clicking on a picture...at least the ones I've tried...loads a whole new page with just that picture, then I have to back page and reload everything again.

At 7 am MST, all was really good here--best since day before yesterday....but as the morning has gone on, it has really slowed considerably, or the page has loaded oddly... However, at least I could post this after a bit of a wait....that's better than yesterday! Thanks for all your hard work, Greg.

It wasn't loading for me an hour ago, but now things seem back to normal (Comcast in the Midwest).

I'm glad it is improving for some people, but from what we can see it seems to be getting worse before it gets better. Very frustrating, since this part of things is outside of my direct control.

Apologies to those who are still experiencing bad performance.

I had problems loading just now, and made the brutal mistake of thinking ylf.com was an alternate domain to try (**it is not and takes over browser with blackmail**). But I made that go away. I did the ping thing and it is still running and running and running. No timeouts but does not want to stop...not sure how long the ping process ought to go on for.

Although I am a Time Warner customer, I use the Open DNS servers if that is useful information.

Cannot access any part of YLF via my Frontier DSL connection. This only started happening this afternoon. Everything was fine right up until about 1 pm EST. Obviously, I am able to access YLF via my cell phone (Verizon) -- for that I am grateful. Hope you are able to figure this out.

I tried pinging (212.124.110.18) and get an immediate 'Request timed out' / 'Lost = 4 (100% loss)'

Is YLF being attacked by trolls?

ATT Uverse internet and Verizon Wireless phone here and it wouldn't load at all on either one today, on either Firefox or Explorer. Back at work (don't know the provider) and it's fine.

Nothing really changed for me.. It barely works in the office (presumably Comcast provider) and is fine at home (Verizon). I pinged youlookfab.com at work and received lots of timeouts (although some responses as well). Hoping it's resolved soon.

Our provider thinks they have found the problem and sometime later tonight they will replace the faulty equipment. The site will be unreachable to everyone for a few minutes and then hopefully back up for everyone.

Here's hoping.

hi Greg,

I didn't notice anything until tonight. Now (on a Mac with Comcast), it's hopelessly slow.

Optimum online is horribly slow for YLF right now.

It won't load either on my Mac or iPad on the Comcast wifi. Turned wifi off on iPad and am on cellular and it's fine.

Sadly inaccessible all day; this took minutes to load. Comcast.
