I'm still pregnant! 3 days till my due date, so I guess it's not so unexpected, since I think it's slightly more common for first time birthers to deliver a bit after their dates...

I ordered this Eileen Fisher poncho from the Nordstrom Clearnace sale. I figured with a "One Size" item I couldn't go too far afield in terms of it fitting after delivery.

It's really too bad this is sold out, because I think it's a lovely poncho for those of us who don't want something BoHo looking.

In fact, I would have ordered one for my petite apple sister (she's 5'2", I'm 5'6") if there had been one left, as her birthday is coming up! Instead I ordered her another Eileen Fisher Angie pick for apples - the silk tunic in blue - and a pair of ponte leggings to wear under it.

Shopping for my sister got me thinking that I nice feature to add to the Finds might be which style and body shape categories we think the item would work for? Would be nice to filter by these things.

Without further ado, the poncho!

BTW, does anyone else miss Anna on here? I know she's doing well and working a lot, but I do miss her posts and comments!

Fabulous poncho! This will be lovely post baby too. I love things like this because you can throw them over almost anything and look fab.

Jenava, maybe I shouldn't share but I went 42 weeks:) He seemed to like it so much in there that he wasn't coming out lol. He was very nicely cooked.

LOL....nicely cooked...I am not sure my OB will let me go all the way to 42 weeks before she pressures me to have an induction. She says that because of my age (36) the placenta may not weather the extra week or so. But I plan to make sure there is actually some sign of an issue with the baby before we go down that route. I'd like my baby to be nicely cooked, too! (-:

I'm usually not a big fan of ponchos, but yours looks fab! And Deborah's right, it'll be great once the little one gets here.

Jenava, I was 38 when I had my gorgeous boy and under the care of a very good OB. Given I was healthy and all was as it should be, she was happy to let nature takes it's course. I did ultimately have to be induced tho, but that was fine

LOVE that poncho! You are a very stylish pregnant lady! Those first babies do often take their sweet time. My first was 3 days past her due date.

I went almost 42 weeks with my first too. My OB wanted to induce but I convinced her not to unless there was a reason. I had to do some additional ultrasounds to make sure there was enough amniotic fluid and the baby wasn't showing any signs of stress. He eventually came out on his own - no induction necessary.

Sarah, that's good to hear! Thanks to everyone for sharing. I guess I don't MIND being induced as long as it's conservatively done. I just really don't want to stay in the hospital for my entire labor...

Just to join the club, I had my DS, my first born, at 42 weeks at age 36 too. They finally decided to induce but I went into labor that morning. A long night and emergency c-section later DS was born. Totally worth it!

That poncho is perfect as a transitional pregnancy into postpartum piece! It would be great for breastfeeding, too.
Is it navy? I thought is was gray and black when I saw it online.

Your post is so funny because I saw it at a glance and immediately thought, "Has she not had that baby yet?" You still look fantastic! I love the poncho and it sounds like you made some very thoughtful picks for your sister.

I miss Anna's posts a ton! She is such a source of outfit inspiration. I do wish she would come back even on a limited basis. She has such a love for fashion it was just fun to bask in her glow!

P.S. I had both of my kiddos a week late. I had an ultrasound with my first, which persuaded my OB that he was growth restricted, not enough fluid, possibly degrading placenta, etc., but thankfully since he passed his non stress tests, I was able to persuade my OB to let me go late, and baby decided to come one hr. before my scheduled induction, lol. Ultimately, he was a pound bigger than expected and there wasn't anything wrong. Best wishes for a safe and healthy delivery!

Just wanted to chime in, because who knows when you'll disappear for a few days? Jenava, you look fantastic in this poncho and especially with those sneaks (Vince?) on the bottom. Love the total look! I hope the delivery works out just as you want it to. Will be awaiting your good news along with everyone here!
And please give my best to Anna when you talk to her. I miss her posts a lot. She really held up one end of the fashion continuum for us all to see, and I miss that. I hope she is happy in her new adventures.
