PPL and other pant/shoe questions

i need some opinions on pants lengths and shoe options.

#1 & #2. i have worn these pants with these boots many times before, but for some reason, this time they felt to short, hence the pictures. #1 seems to bare out my feeling, but #2 seems ok. what do you think? there is about a 1 inch hem, so i can let them out, or wear shorter heels.

#3, these are cigarette leg pants and i usually wear a flat or a kitten heel. is this boot to much with this leg? is the scrunch ok for a work trouser? bonus question, is this belt buckle to big? didn't notice it until i posted the picture, i think i need a less intrusive buckle.

They do look too short to me with the boots, in both pictures. I like the boot with the pants but I am not too bothered by scrunch.

I think Angie would say another 1 inch longer would be fabulous, but I would personally be fine with they way they are now.

I think the pants in #1 and #2 may be a bit too short. I would try them with lower heels. The pants in #3 look great with the boots!

1/2 looks fine to me; I don't like the street sweeping look. 3 might look better with different shoes.

1/2 looks maybe a little short, but not awful. 3 looks great! I can kind of see what you mean about the belt buckle, but I like it as almost the belt equivalent of statement jewelry in the otherwise simple and streamlined outfit you have it with.

Yup - too short, and so frustrating. I have a pair of boots/ pants that are like this. I took them to be lengthened and the seamstress would NOT make them long enough!! Grrrr....... Like these, they look okay in the front, but not so great from the side or in motion. On the plus side, when I was caught in them at my mother's recently and had to walk a mile on slushy streets, my hems did not get wet.

I love the belt buckle in #3. Love!!! I think the booties look fine with the pants but I probably would like them better with the other shoe choices.

Could weight gain be the culprit in 1? That happens to me all the time with a 5 or less pound weight fluctuation.

3 would not pass muster at my office, but ymmv.

Liz A I suspect it's a combination of weight gain and dry cleaner. I changed dry cleaners a couple of months ago, and I think this one is shrinking my clothes ever so slightly. May need to change again.

I feel your pain with dry cleaner problems. I take my really good stuff to a place 30 minutes away. It's a crap shoot with my other stuff that I have cleaned near by. I may get it back done properly or I may not... assuming I get it back at all. Ugh!

Yep, those pants in 1/2 are too short. I hate it when that happens. On the bright side, you can let the hem out or wear other shoes...maybe a good reason to go shoe shopping, hmm???

I like 3. Like the boots, like the belt.

In #1, the hems are about 1.5 inches short.

#3 looks perfect.

no.1 looks OK to me (although a tad longer would be better). I like the belt buckle in no. 3 and I *love* the vest in no.2!

The other thing with the first pair of pants: You may want to experiment with letting them down more in the back than the front. You probably want them to have a slight break in front, but not two breaks or scrunch for that particular width with those boots. JMHO.
