Another wonderful YLF transfer: You might remember that a while back Suz offered to let go of her black and white Doc Martens as they were just a tad too big for her. Well, I got them (several weeks back, but because of the snow have only recently worn them out of the house) and couldn’t be happier with this new addition to my shoe collection! Dear Suz, thank you again so much for this generous gift! I will honor these shoes as truly special. They can be seen in action in pictures 3 and 8 (with a haircut in between).

The first time I wore them to teach (college students), a young woman came up to me after the first course and said: “I am so sorry, but today I was unable to pay attention to the material because I was so utterly distracted by your incredibly fabulous shoes!” After the second course, a young woman and man came up and asked me what brand my shoes were, because they loved them so much! When they heard they were Doc Martens they were really surprised.

Sorry about the busy background, but the guest bedroom just works best with regards to lighting.

Nearly all outfits were worn for teaching.

The suede wedge boots in pictures 1 and 7 were found at T.J. Maxx last year for $79.00. The label read that they were hand-made in Italy, real leather of course. I love them and above all, they are super comfortable. It goes without saying that they get to go out only in dry weather.

The blue suede booties (Dolce Vita) in #1 and 4 were a new addition last fall and I love them too. I had looked for some dark blue footwear for a long time and these are perfect. For me they filled a true wardrobe hole. The Zodiac patent black booties in #5 (both the DV and these were inspired through YLF references) have been worn many, many times this winter. I love their slightly chunky appearance; they remind me of the Marcie Doc Martens.

I never thought that my love for knee-high boots could waver, but I must say (like others on YLF have as well) that more times than not, I have given preference to my booties this winter.

Thanks for looking and all comments are welcome.
