I was ordering some contenders for the wedding day dress, and decided to try some lace up sandals while I was at it.

The Ted Baker was lovely but not a good fit -- too long (!), too roomy in the top, and an awkward shoulder/sleeve. The Badgley Mischka was too long in the top, a bit tight in the body, but too poofy and too open in the chest. I could tell that even with alteration it would not be comfortable. So those are going back. I didn't bother sharing photos of those.

However, I did like this Vince Camuto dress. Not for the wedding but for other, less dressy occasions. I don't know if I need it but I do like it.

The shoes I'm wearing in these photos are the Lucky Brand sandals, and I am seriously considering keeping them. They are immediately comfortable and they would be very versatile for summer to wear with skirts, dresses, shorts, crops, you name it. The DV's were nowhere near as comfortable, and more difficult to take on/off because they don't have a zip in addition to the laces. The Corso Comp sandals are nice looking, but the top of the sandal rubbed on my ankle bone, so those are a no go.

And I decided to try on my floral dress to make sure I hadn't "grown out" of it -- I was relieved to see I had not. I like the Lucky sandals with that dress for a casual footwear option (obviously not for the wedding).
