Poll: Team Jackets or Team Cardigans

In the light of today's blog post - which team are you on?

I am 100% percent on team jackets. I wear cardigans and like them, but don't have many because I'd prefer to layer over a woven jacket. More sophistication, spunk and structure for my style.

Jackets by far. I like cardigans, but I usually still wear them under some type of jacket (weather permitting).

Sure I can!
They have different places in my wardrobe. I love lightweight drapey sweaters when I need a little something, and jackets when I need something more.

I'm a cardi girl!

But my climate often requires at least a light jacket over that , so I guess I get to do both! November through February, I will wear a real coat over my outfit, but spring and fall I can usually wear a light jacket over my outfit.

I'd have to say cardigans for the reasons I just stated on the blog. Although it would be jackets as aesthetical preference.

Team jacket - for sure!!

Jacket gives so much more structure, and is better at hiding the mid-section bits. I actually get a little depressed when the weather gets cold enough that a winter coat is req'd, since it's usually more comfortable to layer a cardigan rather than a jacket underneath. Or when it gets too hot for anything more than a very light, short-sleeve cardigan.

This is probably why Fall and Spring are my favorite fashion seasons - the ideal time to wear a cute blazer or jacket!!

Also, cardigans just don't last as long. They pill and loose their shape. Jackets are a much better investment.

Hmm....well, I guess I lean slightly to team jacket, just because I have more of them. I love my moto jacket and my denim jackets, but I struggle with blazers. I love the idea of them (especially non-black ones) but I just can't get the outfits to feel right. I always feel so preppy in blazers and I just don't think that fits my style.

I love the look of jackets, and I have many, but my cardigans get much more wear than my jackets do. I can't help but feel like jackets sometimes make too much of a statement and I put it on...and end up taking it off before I leave the house.

So in answer to the question, Team Cardigan at the moment...but might play traitor and switch over if I can get around my mental blocks

haha- I thought this was going to be a post about whether wearing your favorite sports teams jacket is fashionable then I thought maybe you were going to design YLF jackets for us...

I much prefer the look of a jacket on myself and wear them more often than cardigans, but on a day that I'm kicking around the house a jacket seems silly and impractical so I'll throw on a cardigan instead. I have to work quite hard to not look frumpy in a cardigan though.

Team jacket all the way. Takes the whole outfit to a whole different level IMO. Like Angie, I like wearing wovens to work and layering with cardigans is always fussy. And like shiny says, I do really like cardigans but they pill and stretch out and I find them generally unreliable in the long term. Nothing like walking out and then noticing in the sun all pilling on your cardi...urgh.

Ugh! Such a hard call! I actually wear both - I wear a base sleeveless blouse or cami, then a cardigan, then a structured jacket on top, usually with the hem of the cardigan peeking below. I love me some layers!

I'll side with team jacket!

Team Jacket 100%. I feel frumpy in cardigans. It doesn't matter how many buttons I button and how many I leave undone, they never look quite right on me.

I'm a cardi girl at heart, but find myself gravitating to jackets these past couple of years more than I used to. But while I've become more open to jackets, I'm clearly in the cardi camp. I love the classic looks of a cardi set, love their drape and softness, love how they look over a dress or to top off a skirt or so many other ensembles.

Cardigans all the way. I'm all about soft and squishy. I also just feel girlier in a cardigan. The only jacket I wear often is my denim jacket, which I LOVE! I've been adding jackets slowly, but they tend to sit in my closet. I'm trying to be better about wearing them.

I'm a very structured person who resists structure in my clothing. :o) I recently bought this jacket in black.

I thought I would wear it more, because it's a jersey jacket. Very soft and comfortable. It's still sitting in my closet but would look so adorable with white bottoms. Hmmm.

I haven't quite figured out how to wear the traditional cardi - I feel frumpy in them and they highlight every lump and bump

Oh Angie, you are tough!! I love cardigans and wear them a lot and I'm not sure how my wardrobe would function without them. Jackets, though, can make an outfit in so many more ways. They also last so much longer. None of my cardies make me feel great the way my jackets do!

If I had to give up one or the other forever, I'd keep jackets, so count me in for Team Jacket. But in reality I wear them both equally often.

Team jackets!

I wore a citron cardigan today and was very unhappy whenever I caught a glimpse of my reflection -- a cardigan is NOT forgiving. Jackets do a much better job of hiding lumps and bumps and streamlining me.

Definitely Team Jackets. I wear a lot of knits, so it's nice to have a structure woven piece on top. I like how they look on me better than cardis, too.

Jackets - can I vote twice, both times for jackets? I have some cardis but find that I don't wear them nearly as often because given a choice, I will almost always choose a jacket instead.
