Standing my ground and calling this color Burgundy!!! Can't stand that other name currently being used... I know I am being silly but, it is what it is! If you had a child that visibly winced for years when he heard the word "blood" maybe it would make more sense...Trying to justify that I am not crazy and come by it honestly and laughing at myself right now!

On to the outfit! I scored these corduroy paisley embossed skinnies online on clearance and couldn't be happier... I bought them in green too! Limiting my mulitiple addiction to just TWO! DH could not stop complimenting these pants! He said it was the color and the fit and I got a kick out of showing him the other color, which is a favorite for my 1st generation Irish-American man!

I thought about pairing this with my nude pumps, but resisted the matchy-match tendency. My pumps are round toed and I prefered the pointed to of these.. Then I am not sure it was pure laziness or again resistiing the matching, but I opted to use the brown purse instead of swapping out for the Aigner in matching tan and burgundy...I like the result but wonder if the wisdom of my dear YLF community would agree it was a good move, or not?

One more thing, I originally planned on wearing this without a necklace, but really felt something was missing. I think the plain silver tassel created a much needed vertical line that visually aided my petite height! I find myself doing this alot with both necklaces and scarves.
