Broke out the new JCrew floral sweatshirt today. Sometimes I try to follow my old "wear new things on Friday" rule that an astrologer taught me years and years and years ago. She said that you will love the piece forever if you wear it first on a Friday or a Tuesday, never on a Monday. Ha! Might be bogus, but once someone tells me their superstition, I have a hard time ignoring it. Strangely enough, if I'm ever worried that I might not 100% love something, or I'm not quite sure, I always debut it on a Friday. Crazy me

I do love this sweatshirt - super cozy - however the pairing with the black jeans today was a bit to dark for my taste. When I got home I threw on my H&M sweats, and was happy to see my stripey socks peeking out the bottom.

Bonus shot of the hilarious Tshirt I saw today at Marshalls. I'd love to parade this around my house....

I need that one and the "there are no such things as counter fairies" t-shirt. Well, that latter might not be a shirt but it might need to be in my house (I hate people's old cereal bowls).

Well I love it, but I used to wear a lot of black. You could always wear a lighter bag, shoes or jacket & still keep everything else dark. It doesn't take much to brighten things up. Just one item in white or a bright would do it.

I'm not usually a floral fan, but I have to say this is the best rendition ever. I love it, and you've styled it with aplomb.

Great looks all. Do you ever wear white or gray denim? Sweatshirt might play well with either if you want to go lighter.

Such a cool sweatshirt!! (I feel bad even calling it that...it's so fabulous!) I'm usually not a "floral" person, but the graphic nature of this just nails it. I actually really like the look in #2 with the black jacket and boots...almost a rocker-chic vibe...but in a pretty way. And since my auto-default is, of course, to white jeans, I would love to see it with them too. Great statementy-casual look!

Floral sweatshirt looks great! I don't think I've seen you with so much black before, but it looks good. Your hair looks FAB as well. I like the waves!

I love the sweatshirt on you and I like the black but I'd like to see the sweatshirt with white jeans and maybe cognac accents. I feel like all black is a little heavy on me too, but sometimes I am in the mood for it.
