Thanks ladies! Sorry, I accidentally did another "post and fall asleep". Which is really not such a bad thing...
Suz, I've been trying to figure out the answer to your question :). One of my favourite expressions is "there's no such thing as bad weather, just improper clothing". Which brings us full circle...
I think the bookending/balancing of my hair is going to be a life long struggle. I DO have white booties, and someday hope to get some silver ones, so can march those out when appropriate. I have got rid of lighter colours like browns/beiges and grey in my closet, as those colours are not my best, and am not going back. Perhaps with culottes I need to keep to booties to show some leg (on days that are warmer, or colder and I intend to change shoes at work). So the reality of my life is lots of black boots, and I'll have to work on strategies to not always look too dark on bottom. I definitely sometimes feel it's too much. Last year I figured out how to break it up with textured or coloured tights, but that doesn't work here.
And funny enough, when I saw the first couple of comments by Suz and Jackie last night, my first thought was "What would Deborah do?" with all her black, and lovely blonde hair. And I told myself I'd go back through some of her winter WIW's to see. So thanks for chiming in Deborah, and I'm glad you like it as is.
So I will always take suggestions on this bookending issue!!
