What sort of footwear will I need? Wedge espadrilles seem like a possible choice, but I wonder what else might work?
Pass. I wore these (in a very unflattering way) in 5th grade. I will not share the photos, I'll just say I got my love for them out of the way. I think I had marigold yellow, Dark wash denim with a rainbow stitched waist (and matching jacket) and really awful pink ones (grandma gift). I've done my time. I'll enjoy watching this from the sidelines.
Hmm I like these when they're below-the-knee to mid-calf best. These are coming across almost ankle length, but if that's the photo angle what length are they? Taylor the pair you linked is lovely, though I'd still prefer them a bit shorter than that personally.
Ooo, I LOVE gauchos and have been looking forward to their coming back for a long time. I actually thrifted a pair last year but they're too wintry for right now and I wasn't bold enough to wear them over the winter or even ask on here about them.
I think the length is critical here.
Back in the day we wore them about calf length and they were worn with boots or wedge heels. I only wore them in the summer...sort of like a long(midi) skirt , they were perfect for looking nice, dressed up and staying comfy while hauling babies in and out of cars etc:)
Yes please, how are these different (in terms of leg shortening) than cropped pants? I actually sort of love them, but wonder if they aren't for the very tall and slim.
