I love the ease of these! For climbing trees and concrete pipes ... (No, don't try to guess!)
But I too like them shorter, at least on me, just under the knees. They used to be part of my school sports uniform briefly --- but it was quickly realized that getting a good fit wasn't as easy as with a skirt. So we went back to the skirt...with short shorts popped on underneath. Ugghhh for running around in the sun, in the heat.
Jenava, they need to be a little shorter for sure. I thought so too.
Suz, let's see them and decide on the appropriate footwear.
Angela, these trousers are not leg shortening like capris - which is why I like them. The link that Taylor provided is SPOT ON!! The blogger looks KILLER. As Taylor suggested, the length and tucking in the top is critical here. (Thanks, Taylor).
I am recalling a few pairs from my 70's closet - a khaki, a burgundy light weight denim and a peach cord with matching vest. The blouse to that outfit was plaid and had gold threads.
We did a lot of day time sparkle in the 70's lol. I think a low wedge was the footwear (Famolares?) of choice but also boots and clogs.
If I think of them as a skirt it helps drown out the other memories. Although I think my friends looked pretty cute back in the day - we dressed up more for school than kids today (as I see DD wearing her skinny jeans and a tunic with a hoodie over it once again).
