Hi there,
7 years ago I joined YLF and started learning how to put outfits together. I did a wardrobe overhaul, and gained lots of skills and confidence, and now I definitely feel good about how to shop and dress, in general. However...over the past 3 years I went through a bunch of personal stuff and fashion fell by the wayside. I want to get back in the game but I feel lost!
Here are some things I need help with...
1. I can't seem to figure out what's trendy for fall and can't find any recent blog posts on YLF on this. When I google, I'm told red is the colour this year, but all my local stores (Toronto) are still carrying burgundy with no red to be seen. What are the top wearable trends for fall/winter?
2. I wore the the skinny jeans/tall boots/top/cardigan/scarf combo to death for a few years. This look now feels dated to me. Is it? I'm bored of it regardless, but I like the versatility of it. Any twists on this I've missed over the past few years?
3. Are tall boots dated in general? I see less of them in stores now.
4. What items have emerged as "new classics" over the past few years? e.g. I think Angie put skinnies in this category.
If you can point me to any blog or forum posts that address these things, I'll be happy to read them. Thank you!
