Hi everyone!

I am going to attend a "business-ey" event in a couple of weeks. The dress code I'm working under is "Creative business casual." The event is essentially a networking opportunity for me, so I want to look memorable (in a good way, of course!).

I've put together some outfits I think might work, but I need help deciding. These are all things I already have in my closet, and I'd like to avoid having to buy anything specifically for this event, if possible. I imagine people's outfits will run the gamut from pretty casual to more dressy. I will probably be on the most dressy end of the spectrum in any of these, which I am okay with.

1. Nanette Lepore Cotton Lace Shell and Club Monaco Microcheck Trousers, red shoes. Another possibility is to layer the red blazer from #5 over this and change out the shoes. I don't have a photo of this, though.

2. Ann Fontaine pinstripe blouse, J. Crew pants, gray shoes. My husband loves to tease me and said this made me look like an ice cream man, lol. I could see where he was coming from, so I'm interested to see what everyone thinks.

3. Same outfit without the little tie. The rise on the pants is lower, so the blouse is too short to tuck in.

4. Shirt unbuttoned a couple buttons.

5. Express blazer, Ann Taylor blouse, BCBG gray skirt, Tarnish bow tie collar, black shoes.

6. Same outfit without the tie.

7. Anthropologie dress, Martin + Osa blazer, bowtie shoes. I tried a dark denim moto jacket over this dress and it just didn't work. My other denim jacket is very light and distressed. I think it would be too casual for the event.

If none of these work, please feel free to say so. I probably have clothes to put together 3-4 outfits. Also, I think most of these things could be mixed and matched for a different look.

Thank you! : )
