I’m right into the whole 90s redux thing. Baggy trousers FTW. My next favourite fashion era after the 90s is the 70s, so I’m into platforms as well.

I find flatter platforms quite comfortable. I think my foot enjoys a thick sole.

I wore this outfit into the city to do some errands (including returning some things I bought while getting carried away in Melbourne, oops).

I am currently re-introducing a little grey into my wardrobe after a long hiatus. I thrifted this pinstripe jacket to put a toe in the water. I’m aware grey is not “my” colour, and colour mixing generally is not easy for me, so I’m proceeding with caution. I’ve collected LOTS of colour palettes for my re-introduction plan. I feel cautiously optimistic that I can make it work.

Anyhow, the jacket is cotton, lined, a good weight for my climate and a good fit for me. I like the way the fitted silhouette balances my oversized pants. Also, the preppy, almost dandy-ish vibe of the jacket is a nice juxtaposition to the camo of the pants.

I teamed it with a greenish bronze metallic tee, bronze metallic bag and gold jewellery to warm things up (some gilded edge).

I think the platform sneaker boots added a little modern/sporty touch. And the stripe of the boots matches the stripe of my jacket. But maybe I’m overthinking it. It’s been known to happen
