Awe, thanks all! I wore this to lunch with my mum. I walked home for 2 hours with my happy, frisky, colour co-ordinating dog. It was a clear, mild night and I felt really comfortable and good. I’d forgotten how much I enjoy slouchy pants.
Angie, extra thanks for the K2K. I would have said that I have no ditsy in my closet, but there you go. Never say never. I love that top and would wear the same print in a skirt. Bit Isabel Marant. (And of course Ms B is the best part!)
CarolS, ha ha!
Star, yes, take a risk! I think there is an eye adjustment process for pattern mixing. But, once your eye does adjust, it opens up a lot more outfit possibilities in your wardrobe.
CS, your comment sent me down a rabbit hole of looking at dark academia style. It’s definitely up my alley, especially for winter. I love the 1940s look of long, slouchy man style pants.
Rachy, yes, I would call it bronze but it might be camel. I love all those dull metals: bronze, pewter, old gold. Thanks for “baroque”.
Gryffin, we both match our dogs! When I think about it, all my dogs have had black in their coat. Clearly it’s a sign.
LJP, I know it’s Summer where you are but I think it’s a good time to stock up on plaid if you like it. It’s a nice juxtaposition to all the florals that are around.
Suz, I could see you in something similar in blues.
Tanya, hi! Thanks for chiming in
Sal, ha ha about your cat. I’ll let you off the pet pattern mixing challenge. Thanks for the kind words.
Nikki, I have a brown woollen hat that goes with this outfit that makes me think of you. I will post it another time.
Bijou, thanks for the inspiration. Right back at you.
