I have lots of purple in my closet so could have done several interpretations of this. I decided to keep this simple though in the spirit of the artwork. I chose white jeans because they are new and I haven't had a chance to wear them yet. They are the Kut from the Kloth Catherine jeans which I bought to replace my white boyfriend style jeans that bit the dust last summer. I tried on the size 6 last fall when they were on sale and they were way, way too big but they were out of size 4's. I finally ordered the 4's and they are slightly snug in the bum. Not bad and I'm keeping them but just surprising. I have gained a few pounds since the fall and it think it's mostly in my butt and thighs so maybe it makes sense that they're tighter than I was expecting. Anyway...the purple shirt has a knot in the middle that I thought sort of evoked the feeling of the twisted figure in the painting. I'm wearing the white cardigan right now for extra warmth but it will come off as the day warms up.
