Picasso Challenge #2: Woman with a Book

I knew when I saw this one that it would be right up my alley! Fortunately the weather is cooperating so I was able to pull out some lightweight pieces to make it happen. I love all these bright colors together!

I kind of feel like this looks better in person than in the photo, but nevertheless I'm pretty happy! And especially so because I saw the doctor yesterday and look! No more orthopedic equipment!!

This thread is a year old but I had to bump it up and report that today at lunch I visited this painting in person at the Norton Simon Museum in Pasadena, CA! It was like running into an old friend! And oh my gosh -- let me just say the photos don't begin to do her justice!
