I loved all of Angie's picks, but this one spoke to me in particular. I liked the subtle color shifts and the textures a lot, and this is what I'm trying to interpret in my rendition.

The color blue is prevalent, but it is quite dark and subtly shifting towards purple in the painting. I also identified a greenish cream, and also charcoal that fades into black. A crisper texture is provided by the lines in her book.

My outfit is based around a pair of new trousers from COS. They are Ink blue, cropped, with drop crotch and high waisted. I know they are not for everyone's taste, but I adore the style. Thanks to Angie's advice I think I know how to wear them without looking like a clown ( I hope). I added black pointy toe booties and a black belt.

I layered a cream silk blouse under a lightweight silk and cashmere charcoal sweater. The topper is my grey/navy moto in leather. The different textures in the fabrics and leather play against each other. Finally I added a scarf in pale blush silk with a pattern of navy blue lines to mimic the lines in her book. I wear my black tote bag with this.

So - what do you think? I spent more time than usual creating this outfit, and I had great fun doing it. I will try to do a few more of the challenges this week or next when I can. Thank you for a fun challenge, Angie!

My outfit is maybe more trendy than usual with the pointy toes, moto and cropped slouchy pants on my middle aged frame. It crossed my mind that I might look If I'm trying too hard ("Don't wear too many trends at once". Do I?

All and any comments are highly appreciated. Thank you for looking!
