All the talk about hair has made me think of (for lack of better words) masculinity-yang and femininity-yin, in dress and character. Not necessarily to the level of gender identity, but how we present ourselves in contrast to all the aspects of our personalities.
For example, I went to the hardware store, dressed in my normal skirt, blouse, heels- and talked about repairs I'm doing and power tools. Both sides are genuine-though it certainly takes people by surprise.
Wondering how other people approach it? Consistent like me? Very different styles for different roles-moods? A mix of all aspects within outfits? Phases, like Angie? Other?
In other words, how do you keep style and identity balanced?
