It's been a whirlwind of a week - busy and kind of frustrating - and I feel awful for posting-and-running a couple times without spending much time to reciprocate. I'm hoping to catch up a bit this weekend.
#1-3: Black pencil skirt, orange pumps, orange/white/black abstract graphic print silk/nylon shell, black bead and cord necklace with feather and lace pendant pinned on, white watch, and pumpkin cardigan. It was a remix of this outfit and I actually felt pretty confident when I left the house.
Then... well. Basic black pencil skirt, right? It actually has an intentionally exposed zipper panel at the back, and twice at work I was asked quietly if my skirt was on inside out. Arrgh! I actually really love the skirt - it's very comfortable and has a great shape, and it's a bit longer than my old worn out pencil skirt - but that's not the kind of reaction I want at all, especially at work. Unfortunately it's not returnable, otherwise I'd consider it. Dang.
#4-5: Gray/yellow/white ikat print dress, pearl necklace knotted and triple-draped (and apparently not staying put all that well), orange pumps, mustard handbag, white watch. Took the forum advice and "spiced" the dress up with these shoes, and love the result.
