Patterned pant and linen for our first hot day.

Hi Ladies!
Today was my first wearing of this years patterned pants, with a plain Zara linen tee.
What say you about the pant length?
This would look better with a heel, I think, but flat shoes are so much more practical!
I find it odd that the new season clothes are in our stores so early. I purchased the pant and top at least 2 months ago and they have languished in my closet. Now that I have finally worn them I am almost sick of them already. Does anyone else experience this?

Lyn I have a number of new things for Spring/Summer that have been hanging in my wardrobe for what seems like ages so yes I know what you mean

I have a love / hate relationship with patterned pants, (and had a black and white pair on this afternoon) ... I like yours. I really like the depth of colour and the style on you. The semi tuck with the tee works really nicely here. The flat shoes work for me:)

The pants look great paired with white! I think the flats are fine, but somehow I want to see either more or less leg with the pairing of cuff and ankle strap.

Yes Astrid- that is what I felt when I saw the pic. The pant has en elasticised bottom that is a bit tricky to push-up, and of course it won't allow extra length.

I get sick of unworn things as well. But by the same token, if I put things away in a box where I don't see them hanging or folded in a drawer, when I re-discover them they seem a little new again.

Haha, you need to move north. I've been wearing summer clothes for at least a month! I like this outfit a lot. The pants pick up your hair and the bookending of the t-shirt with the shoes works well. I like the flats with this. The thing I really enjoy about the linen t-shirt is the impression of texture. All the good things about linen without the wrinkles!

Very lovely and very clever. The depth of colour in the pants(gorgeous BTW) saying hello to your dark locks, the white linen doing likewise with your sandals.

Isn't it funny how we can really like an outfit, then look at the pic and second-guess ourselves?
Sharon, I am not in a hurry for the hot weather, it is just that items I think will be perfect at the start of the season don't always work out. Then I am stuck with a non-returnable item.

Love the way you styled these with flats --- I adore the heeled looks I see in pics, but high heels are simply not practical in some settings.

The simple, fluid top with semi-tuck is a perfect choice.

Thanks Beth Ann- you are right about the practicality of heels, and I attended an outdoor festival during the day. Lots of walking on grass- flats were the order of the day.
