Pants for Pear Body Type

Hi Ladies, I'm sure there is a post in the past, but I can't seem to find it.

Does anyone have recommendation for pants that flatter a pear body type? I am a dress/skirt girl but the winter here in the PNW is going to be pretty bad and I need something other than tights to cover my legs this year!

Also, I suffered an injury where I can't wear heels anymore...eek!

Any good ideas? Thanks in advance for your input!

I've had good luck with the curvy cuts from Eddie Bauer, Ann Taylor/Loft and Gap. Banana Republic used to have one, but they seem to have changed their fit.

I saw recently on my hunt for skinny jeans a curvy skinny from J Brand that looked like it actually had room for hips and thighs. It's easier to see with them hung on their own than on the model, in my opinion. http://cgi.ebay.com/J-Brand-Bl.....564068b6ba

I recently bought some pants from Macy's, Style & Co. brand. I was disappointed in the high polyester content, but honestly, I could get past that because they actually fit:

And I bought these pants at Target. The label says Curvy, Fit 4. I'm so happy I can now find pants that aren't just straight up and down!

I generally steer clear of pants, b/c it seems that they do not flatter my body type (pear). Occasionally I break my own rule, but often regret doing so
I would love a pair of skinny jeans that perfectly fit me.

I'm somewhat of a pear shape as well. The Editor pant at Express is very flattering, but it's largely polyester and I don't know if you have issues with that fabric. I also love Halogen and Classiques Entier pants at Nordstrom. CE is particular is very flattering on a more curvy shape, and the pants are usually wool blends. Good luck!

Ann Taylor first, and I also have to have most of them taken up in the waist. Look at EB curvy for jeans and chinos.
Talbots does some curvy fits.

I like Talbots Heritage Fit for dress pants. NYDJ for jeans/casual pants. I'm a pear, but I have a smaller waist. Every single curvy fit gaps at the waist for me. I search forever for nice fitting pants.

I can't wear heels either - same reason!

I've had good luck with Levi's Curve ID (Bold Curve) in the Straight cut (which is more like a skinny on me). They are reasonably priced and have surprisingly nice feel to the denim despite being a non designer label. I agree that pants can be very challenging for me as a pear!
