Good point, unfrumped. If it brings more grayed-out whites to market, I'm for it. That's "my" white!

I have to agree with Janet and reiterate that this is really a tone-deaf move. In what is a difficult economy for many, any version of white is about as impractical a color for clothing, furniture or rugs as possible. Of course, Pantone influences far more than just those things, but even so...

I'm with Angie and Irina...love whites! And there are truly so many if you're ever trying to pick one, or match whites. I take it as a fresh restart.

I like white, and it is represented across every category in my wardrobe. But, white it is already readily available in retail. Wouldn't a different color (any color!) be more interesting?

I have to admit, I typically find the colour of the year to not mean much in practical terms (for me as a consumer). That said, I am interpreting this as "fresh canvas" and creating white space in a cluttered and crazy world, which I am here for. I understand but am not totally sold that it is either a particularly creative choice on the one hand, or a nefarious one on the other, but I am quite happy to take a breath with it. If that makes any sense!
