We've been back over a week now and most of my photos are of scenery or other people. A few days before we left our cold rainy weather moved to Salt Lake, where we were to attend a history conference. Last minute changes. Two months ago my BIL suffered 2 major strokes. My SIL had planned a family reunion for DH's family and decided to go ahead. BIL is now in a rehab center, we saw him three days apart and he is making good progress. We hung around a day with family, then went to Vernal and Dinosaur National Monument--never been there and always wanted to see it.
I very intense trip with last minute adjustments. I took my navy patterned Boden jacket, but after freezing all day in the conference I exchanged it for the J Crew long cotton cardigan. I had bought a small, but looking at photos, I might have done better with an extra small.
Lately I've wanted to use some of my nicer jewelry and Chanel bags, but not just to take them to the vet or grocery store. So I took my navy bag brought in 2915. Well, in a hotel meeting room the chairs are narrow and there is no place to hang or put the bag.
However, I'm getting closer to the end of my life, and if I don't use these nice things someone else will inherit them. I'm trying to remember to use the fine china at least once a week.
Of my in-laws, one one, my fashion designer SIL, was there to appreciate it. I caught her running her fingers over the surface--and I admit it is smooth and sensual to touch.
Then off to spend 2 days in Vernal, where I took my bag--who says dinosaurs didn't have good taste? I ended up wearing the same purple BR cotton sweater and T. Bahama jacket for 3 days. Best laid plans. I did wear different jeans the last day. I'd brought white NYDJ and wanted not to waste my effort, but then discovered my last clean pair of undies were the bright pink ones. I tried it out and DH swore he couldn't see a trace of bright salmon through the pants. They are Marilyns and are heavy.
Here we go:
#1 three brothers married three women with the same first name. I'm the first though, the original #1. We always have a photo together--I meant to look for the first photo of our group--maybe later. Great turnout at the reunion, DH spoke on family history. Lots and lots of kids running around.
## 2-3 at Utah State Dinosaur museum in Vernal, Utah.
## 4-7 at the Monument museum. What is this bone? And the tipped up wall of bones from a dig. Only souvenir--these socks. Very comfy and the purple exactly matches my purple BR top.
#8 My navy Chanel bag. More useful than the original classic which is too small for my iPhone and everything else.
